Connect, chat and exchange with fellow OPies

What is Slack?

Slack is a real-time collaborative discussion platform, embedding features of a group chat and additional sharing capabilities, including snippets, files and - lately - audio.

What do we use it for?

We use it for real-time exchange and discussion of scientific or technical nature.

Several Channels exist on OP Slack in order to facilitate discussion and access to information. Below few are described, more can be freely added if needed by any registered member.

  • General: #general
General discussion of potential interest for all members. It is also a place to introduce yourself and find your way around.
  • Planetary Mapping: #planetary-mapping
For planetary geoscientists and cartographers to discuss and share tools, techniques and resources, including GIS.
  • Tools #tools
Discussion on software tools for analysis, visualisation and alike.
  • Training/Tutorials #training-tutorials
Information sharing or building related to training material, existing or newly developed.
